So, there is apparently a new album on it's way called "I Am the West". I don't know anything else about it 'cept that it will rock your socks! ...in that mellow kind of way. :b
Actually, it's supposed to be quite dance-y and poppy:
“We are just finishing up a record right now that is going to come after Sleep With Heat. We’re still not sure if it’s going to be a Lovers record or if we’re going to use some other name because it’s pretty different than anything we have done in the past. It has some dance songs on it. It’s much more upbeat in general. Most of the lyrical content is sad, but it’s got such a different feel that we’re almost like, ‘Is this okay to do?’ I say, ‘Fuck it.’”

I am currently writing the fifth Lovers record. It's about hope and love. It's about peace and mindfulness. It's about politics and intimacy. I sit in my little apartment and I think and I read and I write on stickies and post them all over the walls of my work-space. Since I'm not touring currently, I took a job as a Waldorf pre-school teacher. I spend my days learning from my kids. It's pretty awesome.
i'm anxiously waiting for this one. if this song is a preview of the next album, wow. my insides are just filled with glee, haha. I like this dance-y beat, but i love the mellow songs too.
yeah, the album is being re-mixed, but promises to be even better. i can wait; even though i'd rather not. i value an artist being able to release their material in a form that they're happy with. right?

and isn't the 22 an odd date to relase an ablum? cause usualy they are relised on tues, that's a friday according to my computer cock not that i doubt you, i'm just asking out of curiousity matt

oh, that makes sense about 'take off your shoes' to 'stay another night'! and i had that same dilemma when i saw it was available on preorder.. i almost ordered right away until i thought that maybe they'd have it out for sale! i can't wait to see if they do! if not, the second i come home i will order.
thanks for the update!! i was wondering, is 'how the story ends' the same recording as 'honea' or did she rerecord it? i can't wait! i'm going to place an order now!
